Here is the view from one of the bedrooms, its kind of a crappy view, but it gives the opportunity for a lot of possibilities. Other owners have painted murals in this space, that would be so cool!

River East
Also yesterday, while I was on my photo adventures. I had the opportunity to photograph a rental in a newly built condominium in the River East Community of DC. The rental is a 2 bedroom, 2 1/2 bath unit. I love the entry level, which has a lot of windows, and the whole level is open in one big room, which has the living room, the kitchen, and dining space. I have been living in a studio for about two years now, I love seeing open spaces like these because it gives you a variety of options for furniture placements. Later today I will be taking photos of a roof deck in that community, be on the look out for those!
2 bedroom in Randolph Towers
Here is the promised 2 bedroom photo's of Randolph Towers. I like the studio photo's better because of the colorful walls, but this unit is much bigger and has built-in shelving on the walls in the bedroom's, which I love!
There is something haunting about photographing empty units, its just a feeling as if something is missing. but it also allows the mind to see all the possibilities, of inhabiting the space. One of my friends recently found a new apartment that she is moving into next week. She was soo excited about the space, that she wanted me to go see it with her. As a person who goes into units for there job, it kind of looses a bit of the joy of seeing a new space. Due to my friends excitement, it made me excited for her, and I helped her brain storm, the layout of her furniture. I remember doing the same thing, when I moved into my current apartment. Do you think its strange to measure your new apartment before moving in and drawing up a lay out so you can plan the placement of your furniture before moving?
Randolph Towers
Randolph Towers, is being converted into condos. I remember when I was originally looking for apartments in DC, I looked at Randolph Towers. The rentals were alright for the price then. After going into the converted units that are being sold, there is a drastic difference. The appliances are all top notch, the floors are redone. They are also offering free painting, if the new owners supply there own paint. I had the opportunity to photograph a very colorful studio, and a spacious 2 bedroom. I hope you all enjoy the photos! Here is the the colorful studio. Due to the weather yesterday, I was unable to photograph the outside because it was raining. Most buildings don't look very pretty wet.
I'm so jealous of the orange kitchen, with the cool looking washer and dryer, which are brand new and energy efficient. Even though kitchen is a galley kitchen it still has plenty of counter space, and spacious bar. The bar really helps for studio's because it can act as a dinning room table, when there are space restraints.

Lofts in Adams Morgans
I have recently photographed the a loft in Adams Morgan's. It was difficult due to the restrictions I had, for photographing. The unit is beautiful, very open and spacious! My two favorite rooms were the master bathroom, I just love the blue tiles, the double shower with a huge tube, that's raised on a platform, its just too cool. The next was the upstairs, which has a walk way between a open den and the third bedroom. It has screens that are slightly see through, and the space is filled with life. The whole place had a warm vibe from the layout. Check it out for yourself!

Boys
I have had a little bit of a drastic life change recently. I still live in work in DC, still living in the lovely Columbia heights area. I was working at a hair salon as a receptionist for a couple of months earlier this year. Now I am a register salesperson in DC working as a property manager. It all has come back to me, I want to create! Now that I have steady hours I have more passion, energy and desire to create. I guess I was hibernating for a little bit. It's kind of funny how life just takes you places and sometimes you end up where you want to be, but you always end up where you need to be. In preparing for upcoming photo shouts, I found a CF card that I thought I had temporarily misplaced. Here is what I found........
Please excuse my families cat, he thinks he is a super model....
I love these Monsters! Eddie(above photo) he just turned 6 this year April 17th. Happy belated birthday little guy! It's so weird having such young siblings, but they bring a joy of there own. I get to watch them grow, help them with there homework, or spelling words. Its nice to be play with kids and not take them home with you. I just wonder what they are going to look like grown up, especially my youngest sister Bell, who was born last August. She doesnt have much hair, but she is huge! She was recently weighed at 26lbs. I'm rambling a bit, there will be plenty more photos come!
